KUALA LUMPUR a Life in a Circle

I had to move working in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia since March 2013. I had ever a chance to visit Kuala Lumpur when I was working in Singapore. It was only a short trip. I went to Kuala Lumpur to visit my old friend there. I took a bus from Golden Complex on Friday night together with some of her friends where I just met there.
The bus was not organize well, as we had to change the bus after check point, and it was in the middle of the night.
We arrived at 4am in the morning Kuala Lumpur time at Berjaya Time Square. We took taxi to go to my friend's condo. The taxi driver asked for some prices that we finally had deal with him. Here the taxi even thought they have argometer a till machine but they mostly prefer to bargain the price without using the till machine.
After woke up around 10am and we were ready to explore Kuala Lumpur for one day, we went to Sungei Wang Bukit Bintang and KLCC, in the afternoon I booked the bus ticket to go back to Singapore on Sunday morning. It was not a nice glimpse of the city we looked at.
After that I did not want to visit Kuala Lumpur because for me there is nothing special there.
But what to do, when two of my friends visited me in Singapore they asked me to accompany them to go to Kuala Lumpur on Sunday morning at 8am and back at the same day Sunday evening at 6.30pm.
As I only knew KLCC so I took them there around. We arrived in Singapore on Monday early morning 12.30am. They also found KL was not an interesting city. I swore that I would not go to KL anymore.
I could not resist when I got a conflict with my colleague in Jakarta office in December 2012. At that time I had many job offerings including from my ex boss who offered me to join his company in Kuala Lumpur.
Since I did not like Kuala Lumpur but I did not want to make bad feeling of my ex boss, I bargained for the salary where I had declined twice for the salary was not what I proposed. I felt that they would release me, but after several discussion the management called me back again telling me that they had agreed.
So what to do again, I had to move from my previous company, because the immigration approval had been done. It took about 3 weeks.

First one month I stayed in a service apartment downtown Kuala Lumpur.

One month stayed in this apartment waiting for the e-pass sticker attached on the passport

The places where we can go in Kuala Lumpur are not many. KL does not have amusement park like Disney Land or Universal Studio. In Jakarta, we have many places like Dunia Fantasy, Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah etc.

After one month I had to find the apartment by myself so I browsed from internet. It was a big surprise that We have to pay 3.5 x from the monthly rental fee + RM500 for stamp duty to the agent before we move in, wow, even in Singapore we only need to pay 2 x from the monthly rental fee to the property agent + stamp duty for one year calculated with percentage.

As a muslim I really expect I could find some mosques spread over the city, unfortunately I could find the mosque a bit far from my place, they are big mosques, they do not have middle size mosques and it is not easy to find a muslim community in the mosque not like in Indonesia. In Jakarta I used to attend the class in Al Azhar mosque every Saturday or Sunday morning.

I lived in an apartment not far from the shopping malls and my office, I could save transportation costs.
Kuala Lumpur is a bit silent compared with Jakarta and Singapore.

A video from the hotel where I ever lived in shows that the road is too small where the high rises buildings are spread around.
